DEST, CPT, and Verification This is only a qualifying process, where, one checked for the validity of documents and any qualifying tests (CPT and DEST) for specific posts. One who clear the cut-offs for the Tier I, Tier II and Tier III are required to undergo the verification process of recruitment. Computer Proficiency Test (CPT): Only for the post of Assistant Section Officer in CSS Comprises of Word Processing, Spread Sheet, and Generation of Slides Qualifying exam only; implies that the marks obtained are not added to merit list, but, one is expected to clear a minimum standard to be eligible for the post. Document Verification: Compulsory for all candidates Required to submit all documents in original for verification Those failing to do so are not considered for final selection. Provisional Allotment Final merit list on the basis of marks in Tier I, Tier II, and Tier III Allotment of posts is done on the basis of the marks scored and post preference provided by one while filling up the registration form. Allotment or selection is provisional and subject to availability of vacancies, and clearing physical standards for required posts. The date and place of joining are notified by the office have been allotted to. Physical Standards Verification Physical standards have been set up for the posts of Inspector (Central Excise / Examiner / Preventive Officer / Inspector & Sub-Inspector in CBN), Sub-Inspector in CBI, and Sub-Inspector in NIA only. This verification is done by the indenting office or the concerned department after the provisional allotment of one is made available by SSC. If one is unable to clear the stage, then selection will stand cancelled. Hence, should ensure that one is applying for only those posts that clear the physical standards for, amongst other eligibility criteria for SSC CGL.
