I will tell you dates to apply for MTECH program conducted by ISM Dhanbad so that you can go through it easily.

Here I’m telling you tentative dates

M.Tech (2 years)
Online application for M.Tech starts from 2nd week Mar 2016
Closing date of M.Tech online application 2nd week Apr 2016
Issue of Admit Card 1st week May 2016
Date of Entrance Test 2nd week May 2016
Declaration of Result 3rd week June 2016

M.Tech (3 years)
Online application for M.Tech starts from 2nd week Mar 2016
Closing date of M.Tech online application last week June 2016
Last date of receiving Print Copy of Application Form last week June 2016
Date of Written Test/Interview at IIIF Kolkata 1st week July 2016
Publication of Result 1st week July 2016
Admission of selected candidates at ISM Dhanbad 2nd week July 2016

Eligibility

(MTECH 2 Yrs)
For admission in M.Tech. Programmes, applicants under all categories must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering / Technology or equivalent from the institutes recognized by UGC / AICTE or a Masters degree in Science

GATE Candidates must have valid GATE score in the Paper appropriate to the discipline of their qualifying degree. The GATE score should remain valid at the time of Admission.

Non-GATE or GATE not qualified must qualify the ISM Entrance Examination (ISM-EE) conducted by ISM at different centres all over the country in respective Paper appropriate to their discipline in which they seek admission.

(MTECH 3 Yrs)

Candidates seeking admission to M.Tech. Programme of the Institute should have Minimum 55% or CGPA/CPI of 5.5 in 10 point scale (without rounding off) in the qualifying degree for UR (Unreserved)/OBC candidates

Minimum 50% or CGPA/CPI of 5.0 in 10 point scale (without rounding off) in the qualifying degree for SC/ST candidates.

Executives / Academicians / supervisors with one year post qualification experience from reputed industrial / R&D, Academic Institute, public sector, Government, Semi-Government and reputed private sector organisations or Entrepreneurs / Self Employed persons are desirable.

Exam pattern

The medium of examination is English.

The pattern of question paper for M. Tech ISM-EE would be as follows:

The questions will be objective type with multiple choices. The examinee has to choose the most appropriate answer. All questions will be asked from the particular subject of examination and restricted to the syllabus of the subject.

There will be 30 questions of 1 mark each, 20 questions of 2 marks each and 10 questions of 3 marks each.

Every correct answer will be awarded its allotted mark.

There will be Negative Marking for each incorrect answer, 25% of the allotted marks will be deducted as negative marking.

No deduction from the total score will be made if no response is indicated for a question in the Optical Response Sheet
