The workshop invites various government departments, agencies and PSUs, who are already using or planning to use SAR data to support their management or decision making needs, to share their experiences and discuss their requirements of multi-frequency airborne/ space-borne SAR data, in the workshop.

The NASA-ISRO Synthetic Aperture Radar (NISAR), is a collaborative mission jointly by the Indian Space Research Organisation and the U.S. National Aeronautics and Space Administration, planned for launch in 2020.
