The selection process for the recruitment for the post of Sub-Inspector (General Duty) in Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) is as follows: Sub-Inspector (General Duty) is Group 'B' service (Basic pay, Rs.9,300-34,800). Direct Recruitment of Sub-Inspectors for Central Para Military Forces including the Indo-Tibetan Border Police is done by the Staff Selection Commission by conducting a common examination annually. Eligibility : Graduate Age Limit : 18 to 25 Relaxation in age For members of the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes - 5 years Ex-servicemen and demobilized personnel of Armed Forces with not less than 6 months in the Armed Forces - Service rendered in Army, Navy and Air Force plus 03 years Meritorious Sports persons - Up to 5 years (10 years for SCs/STs and 8 years for OBCs) Method of Selection: Selection of Sub-Inspectors in ITBP is conducted in two parts Part-I Consists of a written tests in General Intelligence, Reasoning, General Awareness, Numerical Ability and English language Part-II Has the Physical Efficiency Test, medical examination and interview. Qualification Sub-Inspector (Technical Cadre) Sub-Inspector(Stenographer) (For Male & Female candidates) 20 to 25yrs B.A. English (100 WPM in shorthand & 40 WPM in typing.) Hindi (80WPM in shorthand typing 25 WPM Sub-Inspector (Telecommunication) (For Male candidates) 20 to 25yrs (i) Bachelors degree in Science with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics or Information Technology or Computer Science or Electronics and Communication or Electronics and Instrumentation from a recognized University or Institution; or (ii) Bachelor in Computer Application from a recognized University or Institution; or (iii) B.E. in Electronics and Communication or Instrumentation or Computer Science or Electrical or Information Technology from a recognized University or Institution; or (iv) Associate Member of Institution of Electronics and Communication or Instrumentation or Computer Science or Electrical or Information Technology Engineers or equivalent from a recognized University or Institution. Sub-Inspector (Education) (For Male & Female candidates) 20 to 25yrs Degree from a recognized University or equivalent with Psychology as a subject or Degree from a recognized University with Bachelor of Education/ Bachelor of Teaching or equivalent. Sub-Inspector (Pharmacist) 18 to 25yrs Matric with Diploma in Pharmacy. Sub-Inspector (Lab Technician) 18 to 25yrs Matric with Diploma in Medical Lab. Technology. Sub-Inspector (Radiographer) 18 to 25yrs Matric with 2 yrs. Diploma in Radio Diagnosis. Sub-Inspector (Overseer) (For male only) 20 to 25yrs Matriculation or equivalent with a Diploma in Civil Engineering from an Institute recognized by the Central Government |
