IUCAA Internship
I have heard a lot about the Inter-University Centre for Astronomy and Astrophysics (IUCAA) Internship program and want details related to this. Will you tell details about eligibility who can attend this IUCAA Internship program and also tell what stipend provided to students?

The Inter-University Centre for Astronomy and Astrophysics (IUCAA) is an autonomous institution set up by UGC to promote nucleation and growth of active groups in astronomy and astrophysics in Indian universities. Internship details: Students selected under the VSP will spend seven weeks at IUCAA working on specific research projects under the supervision of IUCAA faculty. The program will conclude with seminar presentations of the projects by the participants, a written test and interview. Eligibility who can apply: Students who will enter the final year of BE/B.Tech (any branch) and M.Sc (Physics/Applied Mathematics/Astronomy/Electronics) in the academic year 2016-17 are eligible to apply. Exceptionally bright students with academically proven track record of third year B.Sc. (Physics/Electronics) or second year BE/B.Tech students of integrated MSc – PhD courses (during the first two years) may also apply. Location: Inter-University Centre for Astronomy and Astrophysics, Pune Duration: 7 weeks Stipend: The participants will be paid a stipend of Rs. 10,000/- for 7 weeks and provided with free lodging on the IUCAA campus during the program. They will also be paid second-class (non-A/C) return railway fare between the place of their residence or education and Pune.
