The Bengal Technical Institute, under the National Council of Education, Bengal, was established in 1906, at the season of the Swadeshi development and consequent emanant patriot development. It had the favors and dynamic support of Great Luminaries like Rabindra Nath Tagore, Rishi Aurobindo, Acharya Prafulla Chandra Roy, Sakha Ram Deoskar, SN Banerjee, Deshbanshu Chittaranjan, Sir Rash Behari Ghosh, et al. It was later renamed College of Engineering and Technology.

Graduated class Association

The Alumni Association was established in 1921 and the Old Boys' Home was built in 1941. In India, it has exceptionally dynamic branches in Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, Hyderbabad furthermore in numerous Refinery and Petrochemical townships.

JUAAOC

JU Alumni Association, Oman section (JUAAOC) was built up on 25th August, 2005 by 22 individuals and amid the previous three years, the graduated class quality has expanded complex. The point of JUAAOC is to encourage the development of sound kinship, to elevate regular intrigue and to keep up a sentiment solidarity amongst the ex-understudies.

Since its beginning, JUAAOC is occupied with multifaceted social, instructive and social exercises in Oman. Foremost among them are supporting commendable understudies of Jadavpur University and The Indian School Muscat, facilitating our own social party and sorting out games with a goal to uncover the shrouded gifts of the individuals from our Alumni Association and their families.

Since most recent FOUR years, we are facilitating our own Sanskriti, as an expansion of the famous JU fest and trying to achieve social specialists of Muscat through a different project which has empowered us to engrave a remarkable impression on the social shores of Oman.
