Yes, you can apply for Biotechnology through Joint Admission Test for M.Sc and here I will gather details of exam.

Eligibility
Interested candidates must have done Bachelor’s degree (In science field) from a well-known) university. Candidates who are graduate via distance studies, they can also apply for this examination.

All the candidates who belong to General or OBC category they must have gone graduation with at least 50% of marks however candidates who belong to reserved category, they need to be passed via 45% of marks.

JAM 2017 examination will be conducted for the seven test papers, namely-
Biological Sciences (BL)

Biotechnology (BT)

Chemistry (CY)

Geology (GG)

Mathematics (MA)

Mathematical Statistics (MS)

Physics (PH)

Application fees
If you want to apply for only one paper and you belong to General or OBC category then you need to give the payment of Rs. 1500/- and if you are female and belong to SC or ST or PWD (male) then you need to give the payment of Rs. 750/-

If you want to apply for both papers and belong to General or OBC category then you need to pay the payment of Rs. 2100/- and all the candidates from SC or ST or PWD and Female need to pay Rs. 1050/-
