IIT JAM 2017 Important Dates(Tentative):

Commencement of ONLINE Registration and Application Process :
1st week of September, 2016

Last Date for Payment of Fee through e-Challan :
2nd week of October, 2016

Closure of ONLINE Application Process :
Mid of October, 2016

JAM 2017 Examination :
1st week of February, 2017

Announcement of JAM 2017 Results :
3rd week of March, 2017

Submission of Application Form for Admission on the JAM 2017 Website :
Mid of April, 2016 to last week of April 2017

Last Date for receipt of request for change of category in proper format/ rectification of defective documents at IIT Madras :
2nd week of May, 2017

Declaration of First Admission List :
1st week of June, 2017

Declaration of Second Admission List :
3rd week of June, 2017

Declaration of Third and Final Admission List and the Closure of Admissions through JAM 2017 :
1st week of July, 2017

IIT JAM Pattern:-

JAM examination will be conducted for the seven test papers:
Biological Sciences (BL),
Biotechnology (BT),
Chemistry (CY),
Geology (GG),
Mathematics (MA) ,
Mathematical Statistics (MS)
Physics (PH).

All papers will be of fully objective type.

Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ)

Multiple Select Questions (MSQ)

Numerical Answer Type (NAT) Questions
