The Department of Foreign Languages was begun in 1949. This division offers courses in French, German, Russian, Japanese and Spanish at different levels, from elementary to post graduate courses (M.A., M.Phil, Ph.D.) Batches are directed in the mornings and additionally in the nighttimes at different focuses in the city for the accommodation of low maintenance understudies. More than 1500 understudies are enlisted each year for the courses offered by the office.

The Certificate, Intensive Certificate, Diploma, Intensive Diploma, Advanced Diploma and the Special Diploma courses in all dialects are low maintenance courses held at numerous focuses and at various timings to suit the requirements of understudies and experts. The post graduate courses offered in French, German and Russian are full time courses.

1. One year Courses

Instructing amid second August to 31st March; 3 days a week, 2 hours for each day. Exams will happen in March/April

2. Half Yearly Intensive Courses

Instructing for 4½ Months starting first August ; 5days a week, for 2 hours every Exams will happen in December.

Qualification

For Beginners' (Certificate/Intensive Certificate) Level: SSC or comparable

For Diploma Courses : Certificate or Intensive Certificate Course in the same language on the other hand identical

For Advanced Diploma Courses : Diploma Course in the same language or equivalent

For Special Courses : Advanced Diploma or BA in the same language or comparable
