To meet the scholarly desires of the working Engineers and Scientists, the University has set up the School of Continuing and Distance Education (SCDE) in the year 1983.

The school was initially offering B. Tech correspondence - cum - contact program (CCC) from 1983 to 2009. Keeping in perspective of the MHRD and AICTE rules, the B. Tech (CCC) has been suspended subsequent to 2010. Presently the University is thinking about to build up the school by beginning New and Innovative Technology Management Programs at P.G. what's more, P.G. Recognition level.
