Staff Selection Commission is one of the autonomous body of government which is controlled by the government of India.

The commission has its main function of conducting the various and different types of examination at the state level which is the entrance examination after the clearance of which the candidates will be selected for the various departments in the state government offices.


The Exam of Junior Engineer Posts Recruitment of Staff Selection Commission 2016 was held on 31st January 2016

Paper I: 200 marks (Objective Type)

-General Intelligence& Reasoning.
-General Awareness & Current Affairs
-General Engineering (Civil & Structural, Electrical or Mechanical)

Paper II: 300 marks (Descriptive Convention Type)

-Part A: General Civil & Structural Engineering
-Part B: General Electrical Engineering
-Part C: General Mechanical Engineering


Expected Cut offs of Civil Engineering category wise:-
-General: 95-105 marks
-SC: 75-85 marks
-ST: 65-75 marks
-OBC: 80-90 marks
-OH: 70-75 marks
-HH: 40-50 marks

Expected Cut offs of Electrical/ Mechanical Engg. category wise:-
-General: 120-130 marks
-SC: 105-115 marks
-ST & OH:: 95-105 marks
-OBC: 110-120 marks
-HH: 70-80 marks
