JEE Main to be held twice a Year
Can you tell me if Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main is held twice a year as I am planning to take up the course this time so wanted to know it, please help me with this?

No, Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main is not held twice a year, instead it is once a year and every year for admission in B Tech Degree course all over India. It is an all India common engineering entrance exam of objective pattern. It is regarded internationally as one of the most challenging engineering admission tests. One must have passed 10+2 with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology/ Technical Vocational subject. B,Arch applicants must have studied Mathematics as a compulsory subject along with 50% marks in total including five Subjects One must have obtained at least 45% marks (40% in case of reserved candidates) One must have studied and passed at least five subjects in their class 12th / qualifying examination in order to be eligible Number of Applicants by Year Year No. of Students 2016 1,207,000 2015 1,300,000 2014 1,350,000 2013 1,400,000 JEE Main Exam Pattern Medium for all exam centres English and Hindi Medium for exam centres in Gujarat, Daman & Diu and Dadra and Nagar Haveli English, Hindi and Gujarati Duration of exam 3 hours Total No of questions 90 with 30 questions for each section Total No of Marks 360 Sections in Question Paper 3 – Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics Marking Scheme 4 marks for each correct answer and negative marking of ¼ marks for each incorrect answer |
