The details as well as the basic requirements for admission to the B.Sc course at Maharana Pratap Univaersity of Agriculture and Technology is as given below:

Admission to B.Sc. Horticulture and Forestry and M. Sc. Horticulture programme is done through the competitive examination namely JET and Pre P.G. test for which an application has to be submitted to the COE, MPUAT, Udaipur whenever published through a notification in news papers, circulars and displays on the notice boards.

Normally, the academic session starts from July to June having two semesters.

Aspirants whose cases of unfair means in the examinations are pending with the University can provisionally be admitted to the same class provided that, if the result committee imposes the penalty of cancelling the present examination, the provisional admission will stand cancelled.

No aspirant shall be entitled to join more than one programme of studies concurrently.

New admissions at the entrance level of any programme are done at the beginning of each academic session.

Admission cannot be claimed by any aspirants as a matter of right.

The Dean can refuse admission to any aspirants without assigning any reason whatsoever.

Aspirants who suppress or give wrong information/facts or put forge signature of their parents in the application forms or attach false certificate will forfeit their admission in addition to any other punishment, which can be awarded to them.

Detention of aspirants due to shortage of attendance at undergraduate level will not be treated as failure for the purpose of re-admission in the institution except for B.Sc. Horticulture and Forestry Part-I where an aspirants if detained due to shortage of attendance shall have to take a fresh admission through J.E.T.

All admissions are made on the basis of merit of Joint Entrance Test only.

Physically handicapped candidates who apply under reserved quota shall be considered for that category only even if they are eligible for admission in general quota.

The admission of the aspirants who are placed on waiting and/or are nominated by any agency will be done on the promise that the aspirants will be able to complete 75% of the attendance requirement otherwise the admission will be denied.

No backlog will be carried on to the next examination and the aspirants will have to pass the entrance test afresh to be eligible for admission.
