The JCECE (Jharkhand Common Entrance Competitive Exam) is a state level examination managed by Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board. It is organized to screen candidates for admissions in for admission in the first year of degree level professional courses in the field of engineering, medical, architecture and many others. Eligibility Criteria Residential Eligibility: • One should be a citizen of India and local or permanent residence of Jharkhand state. • One needs to produce the local or permanent residence certificate at the time of counselling. Age Limit: • There is no age limit for B. Tech & BHMS courses. • For MBBS & BDS courses, applicants should have completed 17 years of age on or before 31stDecember of the year of admission. Qualification Eligibility: • Engineering Courses: One must have passed intermediate or equivalent exam with physics & mathematics as compulsory subjects along with chemistry with securing minimum 45% marks for general candidates and 40% marks for reserved categories. • MBBS/BDS Courses: One must have passed 10+2 or equivalent exam with chemistry, physics, biology/bio-technology and English subjects and securing minimum 50% marks in PCB group for general candidates and 40% marks for reserved categories. Physical Eligibility: For admissions one needs to go through the medical check up round. Only fit candidates will be considered for admission.
