Who is the Chancellor of the universities as per the Jharkhand State Universities Act 2000 please brief me about this?

Jharkhand as the state was set up on the November 15 of the year 2000 after getting separated from the Bihar so to organise the new state many laws were passed out of the which the Jharkhand State Universities Act 2000 is one such law that manages the universities of the state.

Here are the details of the chancellor as per the Jharkhand State Universities Act 2000-

As per the Jharkhand State Universities Act. 2000 Section (9), the Chancellor has been defined as.

The Governor of Jharkhand shall be the Chancellor and shall, by virtue of his office, be the head of the University and the President of the Senate of the university, and shall when present, preside over meetings of the Senate, and at any convocation of the University being held now onwards

The Chancellor of the university shall have the powers to inspect the University, its buildings, laboratories, workshops and equipment, any college or hostel, the teaching or examinations conducted, or any act done by the University, Provided that the Chancellor shall in every case, inform the Vice-Chancellor of his intention to inspect or inquire or to get the inspection or inquiry conducted and the University shall be entitled to representation therein.

The Chancellor of the university may send the results of such inspection or inquiry to the Vice-Chancellor and the Vice-Chancellor shall communicate the views of the Chancellor to the Syndicate and the Academic Council of the university.

The Syndicate and the Academic Council of the university shall report to the Chancellor within the specified period, such action, if any as has been taken or is proposed to be taken upon the results of such inspection or enquiry by the chancellor of the university.
