The Jindal Group organization, Jindal Drilling and Industries Ltd has sacked an agreement worth Rs130 crore from Oil and Natural Gas Corp (ONGC).

Jindal Drilling and Industries has been granted an agreement worth Rs 660 crore for recently manufactured jackup rig, Discovery - I, by Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC).

The Rig is under development at Keppel Fels Shipyard at Singapore and is required to be conveyed in September 2008 and will be sent for operation under this agreement instantly from that point.

The agreement is at working day rate of $1,59,660 every day for three year time span on firm premise. With this the aggregate request book of the organization remains at Rs 2,500 crores, the organization said in a documenting to the BSE.

The organization had entered the zone of seaward penetrating in the year 1988 by winning long haul contract for 2 seaward jackup rigs from ONGC. Offer cost of Jindal Drilling at 1420 hrs was at Rs 1178 - up more than 7.27 % on the BSE.
