If the pressure?s at A and B are 19.62 N/c m2 and 14.91 N/c m2 respectively, and the discharge is 150 Lit/s, determine the loss of head and direction of ow. [6+9] 4. (a) Explain the di erent types of hydraulic similarities that must exist between a prototype and its model. (b) Water ows in a 200mm diameter pipe. Two pitot tubes are installed in the pipe , one on the Centerline and the other 50mm from the centerline. If the velocities at the two point are 4m/s and 3m/s respectively, calculate the reading on the di erential mercury manometer connected to the two tubes.
