Girls can join defence sector through CDS exam.

Combined Defense Services conducted by the Union Public Service Commission for recruitment to the Indian Military Academy, Officers Training Academy, Naval Academy and Air Force Academy.

Eligibility

A candidate must be a citizen of India

For Officers Training Academy [ SSC Course for Women (Non-Technical)]:- Umarried/Issueless Widows/Issuless Divorcees aged between 18 and 22 years of age are eligible to apply.

For IMA and Officer's Training Academy:- Degree from a recognized university or equivalent.

Unmarried Male aspirants aged between 18 and 22 years are eligible to apply.

For Indian Naval Academy :- Engineering Degree from a recognized university or institution.

Unmarried Male aspirants aged between 18 and 22 years of age are eligible to apply.

For AirForce Academy:- Degree from a recognized university (with Physics and Chemistry as subjects in 10+2) or Bachelor of Engineering.

Unmarried Male aspirants aged between 18 and 22 years of age are eligible to apply.
