Joint Admission Test (JAM) is an all India admission test conducted jointly by the Indian Institute of Technology (IITs) and Indian Institute of Science (IISC), Bangalore on behalf of the Ministry of Human Resources Development for admission in M.Sc programme, joint PhD dual degree, and other post B.Sc programmes at various IITs.

IIT JAM exam eligibility-

candidate should have at least 55% aggregate marks, without rounding off, for un‐reserved/OBC Category candidates and at least 50% aggregate marks, without rounding off, for SC/ST and PwD category candidates in the qualifying degree.

JAM Exam Pattern

JAM will have seven test papers, namely,

Biological Sciences (BL)
Biotechnology (BT)
Chemistry (CY)
Geology (GG)
Mathematics (MA)
Mathematical Statistics (MS) and
Physics (PH), each of three hours duration.
