West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board conducts admission to Undergraduate Level courses of B.E /B. Tech /B. Arch/B. Pharm and MBBS /BDS offered different Universities/Colleges in West Bengal. Questions are based on the syllabus for WBJEEM. In every subject, all questions will be of Multiple-Choice Questions (MCQ) type, with four options against each of the questions. Questions will be of three categories as per following: Biological Sciences Category-1: 80x1 marks; Category-2: 25x2 marks; Category-3: 10x2; Total No. of Questions: 115 & Marks: 150 Physics-Chemistry Category-1: 30x1 mark + 30x1 mark; Category-2: 5x2 marks +5x2 marks; Category-3: 5x2 mark + 5x2 mark; Total No. of Questions: 40+40= 80 questions; and 100 marks Mathematics Category-1: 50x1 marks; Category-2: 15x2 marks; Category-3: 10x2 marks; Total Questions: 75; and 100 marks Paper Pattern The Mathematics paper is of 100 marks; the Biological Sciences paper is of 150 marks; the Physics and Chemistry papers is combined to a single 100 marks with 50 marks each for Physics and Chemistry Each paper is of MCQ type containing three categories of questions Question Category 1 a) Only one option is correct; correct option will yield 1 mark b) Incorrect option will yield -¼ (negative ¼) marks c) For any combination of more than one option, the said answer will be treated as incorrect and will yield -¼ (negative ¼) marks Question Category 2 a) Only one option is correct; correct option will yield 2 (two) mark b) Incorrect option will yield -½ (negative ½) marks c) For any combination of more than one option, the said answer will be treated as incorrect and will yield -½ (negative ½) marks Question Category 3 a) One or more options are correct; marking all correct options only will yield 2 marks b) For any combination of answers containing one or more incorrect options, the said answer will be treated as incorrect and it will yield zero mark c) For partially correct answers, i.e. when all correct options are not marked and also no incorrect options is marked, marks awarded = 2 X (no of correct options marked) / (total no of actually correct options) In every subject, all questions will be Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ - type, with four options against each of the questions) and the answer(s) to each of the questions has to be marked on the OMR |
