Nirmalagiri College, a minority foundation having a place with the Archdiocese of Thalassery, was built up on thirteenth May-1964 by H.E.Rt.Rev.Dr.Sebastian Valloppilly, the organizer Bishop of Thalassery Diocese. The school is arranged at a place in the past know as Kandamkunnu, now Nirmalagiri, 20kms north east of Thalassery, close by the Thalassery-Mysore between state interstate.

The branch of financial matters was begun in 1964 with the Pre-Degree course in Social Sciences. It began BA in 1967 and MA in 1995. The Department gives the stage to the understudies to hone their insight and aptitudes. It leads intermittently, courses, discourses, workshops, and so forth on scholastic and non scholarly points.

Over these years our understudies have demonstrated superb execution in the college, stowing top positions reliably, gaining an incredible notoriety for the College and the Department.
