Karnataka Board of the Pre University Education

Hi I would like to have the details of the Pre University Education & the examination syllabus which is conducted by the Karnataka Board?

The Department of Pre-University, Government of Karnataka is the association for execution of higher optional instruction in the state. We work under the Department of Primary and Secondary Education.

There are 1202 Government Pre-University schools, 637 Aided Pre-University schools, 1936 Unaided Pre-University universities, 165 bifurcated Pre-University schools and 13 Corporation Pre-college schools.

After X standard consistently around 10 lakhs understudies select in the 2 year Pre-college courses. The courses offered by the Department are comprehensively ordered under the classifications of Humanities (Arts), Science and Commerce. There are 23 subjects, 11 dialects and 50 blends in the Pre-University educational modules. In 2010-11, there were 4,43,185 understudies in Humanities in I and II PUC, 2,47,421 understudies in Science in I and II PUC and 2,77,189 understudies in trade in I and II PUC.
