Karnataka Public Service Commission or the KPSC exam also known as the KAS exam was constituted under the provisions of the Constitution of India on 18 May 1951.

Examination Process:

The examination is a three stage process:

Stage I: Preliminary Examination (Objective Type) for the Selection of candidates to the main examination; and

Stage II: Main Examination (Written Examination) for selection of candidates to the personality test.

Stage III: Personality test: For final selection of candidates to various posts/ cadres.
Eligibility:

Academic: Graduation

Age : 21-30 years. relaxable for SC/ST/BT/BC candidates.

General Knowledge.

Optional Papers Group `A' - 5 Subjects
Group `B' -3 Subjects.

Note: Examination is followed by a Personality Test.
