About KCET :

Karnataka Common Entrance Test or KCET is a state level examination, which is conducted every year to fill UG Engineering seats in the Colleges/Universities of Karnataka. Through the examination, eligible and deserving candidates are determined for the admissions.


Eligibility Criteria :

Candidates should be a citizen of India.
Engineering Course
The core subjects of the candidate in qualifying examination will be Physics, Mathematics and English, along Chemistry / Bio-Technology /
Biology / Electronics / Computer Science as optional subjects.
In the qualifying exam, a candidate must have secured a minimum of 45% (40% for SC/ST/Category-I/OBC)


Examination pattern :

Aspirants seeking admissions to engineering courses had to appear in the tests of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.

Each subject was consist of 60 questions and the total number of questions were 180.

Each question was of 1 mark and the overall exam was of 180 marks.

1 hour and 20 minutes was given to candidates for solving question paper of each subject.

There was no negative marking.
