Karnataka CET (KCET) 2017 will be conducted by Karnataka Examination Authority on May 2 and May 3, 2017 in offline mode for admissions to undergraduate engineering programmes in Karnataka state colleges. The online application form of Karnataka CET (KCET) 2017 exam is available from January 27, 2017.

Karnataka CET 2017 eligibility Criteria

• One passed in 10+2 level qualifying examination with Physics and Mathematics as main subjects and English as a language subject are eligible to appear in the entrance test.
• One must have studied Chemistry/Bio-Technology/Computer Science/Biology as elective subject in class XII.
• One need to obtain minimum 45% aggregate marks if belonging to General Category
• For Reserved Category i.e. SC, ST Category I and OBC (2A, 2B, 3A and 3B) candidates, the candidates need to score at least 40% marks.

Karnataka CET (KCET) Exam Pattern 2017

• The exam pattern includes number of questions, type of questions, marking scheme, language and other information for appearing candidates.
• It will be conducted separately for Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics on two alternate days
• Each section carries 60 marks
• The question paper comprises objective type questions of one mark each
• Each subject paper of KCET 2017 is allotted 80 minutes time duration and the test is scheduled to be conducted in two shifts.
• One appearing in KCET 2017 need to carry black or blue ball point pen to mark options in OMR sheet.
• There is no negative marking i.e. in case of wrong attempts, no marks will be deducted from total scored marks. Also, responding with more than one option will be considered as wrong and no marks will be awarded in such case.
