As per your concern I will get details of Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) and will also let you know weightage of marks for the exam. Eligibility criteria Candidates passed in 10+2 level qualifying examination with Physics and Mathematics as main subjects and English as a language subject are eligible to appear in the entrance test. Candidates must have studied Chemistry/Bio-Technology/Computer Science/Biology as elective subject in class XII. Candidates need to obtain minimum 45% aggregate marks if belonging to General Category For Reserved Category i.e. SC, ST Category I and OBC (2A, 2B, 3A and 3B) candidates, the candidates need to score at least 40% marks. Application fee The application fee is Rs. 650/- for Gen/OBC candidates and Rs. 500/- for SC/ST candidates. The fee payment will be made through the specified bank challan. Candidates residing outside Karnataka are required to pay Rs. 750/- and candidates residing outside India have to pay Rs. 5000/-. For candidates residing outside India are needed to pay the fee through DD drawn in favor of Executive Director, Karnataka Examinations Authority payable at Bangalore. Candidates are advised to take printouts of the application form for further use. Exam pattern Exam Mode: The exam will be conducted via offline method (pen and paper based mode). Type of Questions: Questions will be objective type questions. No. of Questions: Each section will contain total 60 questions. Answer Mode: Candidates will be required to use only blue or black ball point pen to mark their answers. Marking Scheme: For each correct response one mark will be awarded. Negative Marking: There will not any provision of negative marking for incorrect response.
