The Master of Science program in Occupational Therapy is a 73 credit program designed to provide entry level education in occupational therapy.

Students admitted to this program will earn a Master of Science in occupational therapy in just 2 ½ full-time years of study.


Admission Requirements-

-Baccalaureate degree with a minimum cumulative G.P.A. of 3.0 from all colleges attended

-Minimum grade of "B" or better in each prerequisite course

-Official transcripts from all institutions attended

-Three letters of recommendation

-Documented observation of occupational therapy services within a variety of age groups and practice areas for a minimum of 40 hours in two or more practice settings.

-Current Professional Resume/CV

-Personal Statement

-Respond to a departmental question-"Describe a current event or societal issue and how you feel OT could impact the situation."

-Departmental interview may be required

-TOEFL (for applicants whose native language is not English)


Application Deadline

Fall: January 15, 2016

Spring: No Spring Admission

-General Psychology (3 credits)

-Intro to Sociology or Cultural Anthropology (3 credits)

-Anatomy & Physiology l and ll (8 credits, with lab)

-Abnormal Psychology (3 credits)

-Introduction to OT (3 credits)
