Can you tell me in detail about the Convocation 2015 held in KGMU or King George’s Medical University? Also provide me the Convocation Awardees list 2015?

The Convocation of King George’s Medical University was held on 20 December 2015 in the 1000 seating auditorium of Scientific Convention Centre with usual festivity and fervor.

It was presided by the Hon’ble Chancellor and Hon’ble Governor of U.P., Sri Ram Naik Ji, and Hon’ble Minister of State, Medical Education, Govt. Of UP, Sri Radhey Shyam Singh Ji

There was a strict dress code for convocation ceremony, women faculty in yellow sarees and black blazer and men faculty in black prince suit; girl students (degree recipients and medal awardees) were in pink sarees with blue blazer and boys in black trousers with blue blazer, all smartly turned out.

Function began with Hon’ble Vice Chancellor delivering the welcome address and annual report of Medical University, followed by oath administration.

There after the Deans faculty of Medicine, Dental sciences and Nursing, presented candidates for degrees to the Hon’ble chancellor.

It was followed by the award ceremony and Km. Vatsala Katiyar got standing ovation for winning the prestigious Hewett medal along with Chancellors medal, University Honors; in total 16 gold medals.

Total 25 students received medals and certificates in the convocation ceremony. Function concluded with National Anthem followed by High Tea.
