KUHS MBBS 1st Year Syllabus

Hi I would like to have the details of the MBBS course as well as the syllabus of the course which is offered by Kerala University of Health Sciences (KUHS)?

The Kerala University of Health Sciences (KUHS) was built up by the 'Kerala University of Health Sciences Act 2010', for guaranteeing legitimate and methodical guideline, instructing, preparing and look into in Modern Medicine, Homeopathy and Indian Systems of Medicine including Ayurveda, Siddha, Yoga, Naturopathy, Unani and other united sciences furthermore to have consistency in the different scholarly projects in restorative and partnered subjects in the State of Kerala. The University is arranged at Thrissur, Kerala.

The University is ordered to partner all Colleges and Institutions in Kerala, granting proficient training in social insurance. So far 249 expert schools have been subsidiary to the University.

Qualification Criteria

No hopeful might be permitted to be admitted to the therapeutic educational programs of first Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) course until:

a. He/She has finished the age of 17 years at the latest the 31st of December of the year beginning the endorsed scholastic session of the said course.

b. He/She has passed qualifying examination as under:

The Higher Secondary Examination or the Indian School Certificate Examination which is identical to 10+2 Higher Secondary Examination following a time of 12 years consider, the last two a long time of study containing Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English with least 50% for Physics, Chemsitry and Biology/Biotechnology together and half in Science/Biotechnology independently. In admiration of applicants having a place with socially and instructively in reverse classes the base imprints required in qualifying examination in Material science, Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology taken together and in Biology and Biotechnology independently is casual to 45% rather than half as above. Concerning applicants having a place with booked positions and planned tribes the base imprints required in qualifying examination in Physics, science and science/Biotechnology taken together is loose to 40%. The qualification criteria for admission to persons with locomotory inability of lower appendages (40 to 70%) will be at least 45% imprints rather than half taken together in qualifying examination and focused placement test for confirmation in MBBS course.

Whatever other examination which, in extension and standard is observed to be comparable to the moderate science examination of an Indian University/Board, taking Physics, Science and Biology incorporating pragmatic test in each of these subjects and English.

c. The determination of understudies for the Under Graduate course should be made construct entirely with respect to merit as chose by the Entrance Examination directed by the skillful power endorsed by the Government of Kerala/Kerala University of Health Sciences and according to rules of the Medical Council of India (M. C. I.).

Admission process


The affirmation might be finished by every Medical school/Institution according to the statutory time plan for affirmations and for no situation any confirmation will be made in the MBBS course after 30th of September.

The Universities and different powers concerned should arrange confirmation process in such a route, to the point that instructing in first semester begins by 1st of August every year.

There might be no confirmation of understudies in appreciation of any scholastic session past 30th September under any condition. The college might not enroll any understudies conceded past the said date.

The Medical Council of India may coordinate, that any understudy distinguished as having on acquired affirmation after the last date of conclusion of confirmation be released from the course of study, or any Medical capability conceded to such an understudy might not be a perceived capability with the end goal of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. The

Foundation which stipends admission to any understudies after the last date determined from the same should likewise be subject to face such activity as might be endorsed by MCI counting surrender of seats proportional to the degree of such affirmation produced using its endorsed admission limit for the succeeding scholarly year.
