Kendriaya Vidyalaya IIT was set up in the year 1964 with the support and help of IIT Management. Settling in the greenery of the eco-accommodating IIT Campus, the Vidyalaya has been sustained by the parental care of the IIT specialists and today is walking unhesitatingly towards its coveted objective with head held high. We are particularly advantaged for, we have the best physical offices and the fabulous support, because of IIT Madras.

This regarded Vidyalaya is driven by Dr.M.Manickasamy, Principal.

This Vidyalaya has Classes I to XII. Classes I to X have 3 Sections. In Higher Secondary Level we have 2 areas of Science Stream and 1 segment of Commerce Stream.

The Vidyalaya has experienced childhood by a wide margin from the staff quality of 10 and understudies quality of 250 in the year 1964 to staff quality of 64 and understudies quality of 1586 as on 31 July, 2015.

Vidyalaya Management Committee is working under the capable direction of the Dean Academic Courses, IIT Madras Dr. V. Jagadeesh Kumar with a band of creative and devoted individuals from the Committee.
