The Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY) is a program started in 1999 by the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India to encourage students who are studying Basic Sciences to take up research career in Science. The aim of the program is to identify and encourage talented and motivated students to pursue career in research.

The Hall Ticket Number or Admit Card 2016 will be available around mid of October 2016 on the official website of Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY).

Opening of online application portal : 10th July 2016

Last date for closing of online application : 16th August 2016

Last date for submitting online application : 23rd August 2016

Exam Date : 6th Nov 2016

Selection Procedure

Aptitude Test:
After inspection of application forms and meeting the eligibility criteria for various streams, all eligible students are called for aptitude test conducted both in Hindi and English at different centers across India.

Admit Card
One may download the admit card for the aptitude test from the website

Interview:
Based on the performance in the aptitude test, short-listed students are asked to appear for an interview which is the final stage of the selection procedure.
