The Agricultural Scientists Recruitment Board -ASRB (ICAR, Ministry of Agriculture, Govt. of India) hold a NET during 26.03.2014 – 04.04.2014 in Online mode at 23 Centres across India.

End date of Online Application: 28th February 2014
Period examination of online: 26th March 2014 to 4th April 2014

NET is a qualifying examination for determining eligibility for Lecturer/Assistant Professor in the State Agricultural Universities (SAUs) and other Agricultural Universities (AUs) only.

ICAR NET Exam Eligibility –

Nationality:-
You must be either :
a citizen of India, or
a citizen of Nepal, or
a citizen of Bhutan, or
a Tibetan refugee who came over to India before the 1st January, 1962, with the intention of permanently settling in India, or
a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka and East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar) Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.

Age Limits:-
You must have attained the age of 21 years.
There will be no upper age limit for the National Eligibility Test.

Educational Qualifications :-
You must have a Master’s degree or equivalent in the concerned subject with specialization from any Indian University incorporated by an Act of Central or State Legislature in India or other educational institution established by an Act of Parliament or declared to be deemed University under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956 or he/she must have qualification from a foreign University recognized as equivalent by the Government of India(GoI).
