The United States Army utilizes different staff administration frameworks to order warriors in various claims to fame. Enrolled warriors are ordered by their doled out employment called a military word related claim to fame, or MOS. Every MOS are marked with a short alphanumerical code called a military word related claim to fame code (MOSC), which comprises of a two-digit number added by a Latin letter. Related MOSs are gathered together via Career Management Fields (CMF). For instance, an enrolled warrior with MOSC 11B functions as an infantryman (his MOS), and is a piece of CMF 11 (the CMF for infantry).

Dispatched officers are arranged by their range of fixation, or AOC. Much the same as enrolled MOSCs, AOCs are two digits in addition to a letter. Related AOCs are gathered together by particular branch of the Army or by more extensive in degree useful zones (FA). Normally, an officer will begin in an AOC of a particular branch and climb to a FA AOC.

Warrant officers are arranged by warrant officer military word related claim to fame, or WOMOS. Codes comprises of three digits in addition to a letter. Related WOMOS are assembled together by Army branch.
