The eligibility requirement, entrance exam and other informatuon for admission in B Tech Program as offered by Manipal University are as follows: Admissions • Duration: 4 years • Citizenship: Indian nationals. • Qualification: Pass in 10+2, A Level, IB, American 12th grade or equivalent with Physics, Mathematics and English as compulsory subjects along with Chemistry or Biotechnology or Biology or any technical vocational subjects as optional with a minimum of 50% marks taken together in Physics, Mathematics and any one of the optional subjects. General Category: Admissions are done on the basis of rank in the All India Manipal University Online Entrance Test (MU-OET). Foreign/NRI Category: Admissions are done on the basis of marks obtained in the qualifying examination. Candidates can apply both under General and Foreign/NRI categories. Entrance Test Pattern Entrance Test Type: Manipal University Online Entrance Test (MU-OET). Test Syllabus: Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and General English include questions based on the 10+2 syllabus followed by major 10+2 Boards /Universities. Test Pattern: Group 2: (Applicable to B Tech /B Pharm /Pharm D courses) Duration-2.30 hours, Questions-200 (MCQ). The approximate distribution of questions is as follows: Physics -50, Chemistry-50, Mathematics-70, English & General Aptitude-30 Merit List: General Category: Based on the marks obtained in MU-OET, Manipal University will declare a list of all candidates appeared for the entrance test on the website. In case of two or more candidates obtaining equal marks, the inter-se merit of such candidates are determined on the basis of higher marks in the order of preference as under: • Mathematics in MU-OET • Physics in MU-OET • Chemistry in MU-OET • PCM marks in 10+2 • In case marks secured in the above are equal, the candidate senior in age will be ranked higher |
