Sikkim Manipal Institute of Technology (SMIT) offers B Tech (4 years course) in six Engineering Disciplines :

Eligibility Criteria :

Citizenship: Indian nationals.

Academic Qualification for B. Tech

Class 12: The applicant must have passed Class 12 or Equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with Chemistry or Biotechnology or Biology subjects as optional.

The candidate must have scored a minimum of 50% marks taken together in Physics, Mathematics and any one of the optional subjects. (In case of SC/ST/OBC it should be 45%).

Candidate appearing in Class 12 or Equivalent upcoming Board Examinations are also eligible provided they send their results to SMIT by fax as soon as the result is declared.

Diploma Holders: Candidate with a diploma in the appropriate branch of engineering awarded by a State Board of Technical Education.

The candidate must have scored a minimum of 50% marks. (In case of SC/ST/OBC it should be 45%)

Purchase the online application by paying Rs. 600. Application number and password on successful payment will be sent to candidate's email ID.
Pay the Exam fee of Rs 1000.

B. Tech Admission Selection Process

Admissions will be solely done on the basis of merit in the UET, subject to fulfilling of eligibility requirements and availability of seats in the particular Course for which the candidate has applied for.

Merit List will be prepared.
