The Department of Civil Engineering is one of the most seasoned bureau of the Institute began in 1960. It offers B.Tech (Civil Engineering) degree and 7 M.Tech degree in Hydro Power Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Structural Engineering, Environment Engineering, Transportation Engineering, Water Resources Engineering and Geo informatics specialization. It additionally offer Ph.D degree.

The division has 30 exceptionally qualified and devoted workforce who endeavors to deliver capable experts who are side by side with the most recent innovation and are outfitted with venturesome aptitudes important for a creator furthermore for a site engineer.

Program Educational Objectives of the Civil Engineering program addresses wide parts of Civil Engineering understudies inline with the division vision and mission. These are -

The UG course of the office has been honored "An' evaluation by the National Board of Accreditation. The division has 11 very much prepared labs which give great offices to educating, field testing, consultancy and examination works in Civil Engineering.
