Hey, I am Mohit. I am wishing to get admission in Marine Engineering. Please tell me, what is the percentage Criteria to join the course of Marine Engineering. Which college I can join for this course?

Marine engineers deals with the boats, ships, oil rigs and any other marine vessel or structure. Marine engineering is the discipline of applying engineering sciences, mostly mechanical engineering and electrical engineering.

It is used for the development, design, operation and maintenance of watercraft propulsion and on-board systems; e.g. power and propulsion plants.

Education Qualification:

A 10+2 passed student in the subjects Physics, chemistry and Maths can apply for the Marine Engineering.

Percentage Criteria:

Candidates must have 60% marks in Physics, Chemistry and maths and 50% marks inb English.

Age Limit:
Minimum age is 17 years and maximum age allowed 25 years.
5 years relaxed for SC/ST candidates.


Physical Standards:

Eye sight: (a) 6/6 permissible upto +2.5
(b) Colour vision should be normal.
(c) Field of vision should be normal.

Hearing: Normal in both ears
Height: A minimum of 157 cms
Weight: A minimum of 50 kgs
