Master of Business Administration

The Master of Business Administration (MBA or M.B.A.) is a master's degree in business administration (management).

The MBA degree originated in the United States in the early 20th century when the country industrialized and companies required technical approaches to management.

The core courses in an MBA program cover various areas of business such as accounting, finance, marketing, human resources, and operations in a manner most relevant to management analysis and strategy.

Most programs also include elective courses.

The MBA is an incurable degree and a professional degree.

Accreditation bodies purposely for MBA programs ensure steadiness and quality of education.

Business schools in many countries offer programs tailored to full-time, part-time, executive, and distance teaching students, many with specialized concentrations.

Competitiveness and Innovation Framework Programme (CIP)

With small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) as its main target, the Competitiveness and Innovation Framework Programme (CIP) supports novelty activities (including eco-innovation), presents better access to finance and delivers business support services in the regions.

It give confidences a better take-up and use of information and communication technologies (ICT) and helps to develop the information society.

It also promotes the increased use of renewable energies and energy competence.

The CIP runs from 2007 to 2013 with an overall budget of € 3621 million.

The CIP is divided into three operational programmes.

Each program has its specific objectives, aimed at contributing to the competitiveness of enterprises and their pioneering capability in their own areas, such as ICT or sustainable energy:

The Entrepreneurship and Innovation Programme (EIP)

The Information Communication Technologies Policy Support Programme (ICT-PSP)

The Intelligent Energy Europe Programme (IEE)
