The JumpStart Advisory Group was founded by Duke MBAs John Burt and Elton Ndoma-Ogar who collectively garnered nearly 20 job offers during the recruiting season.

in 2004, the partners formed the JumpStart Advisory Group to create a pipeline between highly qualified MBAs and employers in those fields committed to strengthening their businesses by improving their diversity and inclusion efforts.

JumpStart hosts separate undergraduate and graduate diversity forums that bring together selected students from top-tier programs.

MBA students can apply to attend two different Diversity Forums, each held annually during the summer prior to starting business school. The Forums are attended by many of the country’s prestigious employers.

The Forum offers an intensive program that educates participants on both industries, introduces students to case studies, and provides endless networking for first-year MBA students prior to matriculation.

JumpStart MBA Brand Management and Marketing Diversity Forum
The diversity forum will be a 2 1/2 day experience that educates incoming women and minority MBA students on brand and marketing careers
