The Mihaylo MBA program provides students with a strong foundation in business fundamentals in addition to the practical knowledge to become effective leaders.

One gets learning and networking opportunities and it prepares students to master conceptual, analytical, technical, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.

A tradition of excellence has been exemplified by our students winning a cumulative 39 national awards from the National Small Business Institute’s case competition—placing in the top ten for 19 of the last 20 years—and placing in the region’s top three at the ACG Cup competition.

Program Requirements

The Mihaylo College of Business and Economics MBA program is designed to support the career goals of students. With options to complete program either full or part-time, the basic curriculum consists of 33-45 semester units (11-15 courses).

1. Foundational courses (30 units or ten courses)
• Emphasizing conceptual, analytical, technical, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
2. Concentration/elective courses - (12 units or four courses)

• Allowing students to concentrate in an MBA focus area
3. Master's capstone course (3 units or one course)
• Supporting student teams completing a major consulting project with an area business.

Prerequisite Requirements

One must complete prerequisites in calculus and statistics by the first year of study.

Prerequisite coursework can be completed prior to enrolling.

The courses below or equivalent coursework must be completed with grades of at least a "C" (2.0).

• Business Calculus
• Math 130 or 135 at CSUF (3 units)
• OR enroll in the 4 day Business Calculus Boot Camp at CSUF - offered each fall semester.
• Fall 2015 dates (9:00am to 1:00pm): August 29, September 5, September 12, and September 19
• OR Equivalent course at a community college
• Statistical Analysis
• ISDS 361A or ISDS 513 at CSUF (3 units)
• ISDS 361A may be taken through Open University prior to enrollment
• OR Equivalent course at a 4 year institution
