California International Business University was founded in 1995 as a non-profit, private university in San Diego, California, USA.

The university is located in the Little Italy section of downtown San Diego.

The MBA in Tourism and Hospitality Management is an intensive and innovative two-year hotel management degree which fosters a strong foundation in hotel management, leadership and entrepreneurship.


Program Requirements

The MBA in Tourism and Hospitality Management is a 12 course program with a total of 48 credit hours divided as follows:

-Business Core Credit Hours: 32
-Hospitality Specialty Courses: 16


Admissions Requirements:

-Applicants must have a bachelor’s degree in the fields of hospitality and tourism or if the applicant has a degree in a different field of study, they must have a minimum of two year of work experience in the area of hospitality and tourism

-Applicants must pass an interview with a Vatel Representative. Interviews will be held via Skype after provisional acceptance.

-English score within the last two years (if from a non-native English speaking country) from one of the following approved tests:
TOEFL 79
IELTS 6.0
TOEIC 750
or attended a higher educational program for at least a year in English

-Students may receive up to 2 courses from other institutions if, upon review, the coursework it is determine to be in conformity with CIBU’s requirements.

-GRE or GMAT not required


Tuition

Tuition is charged per semester.

The number of courses to complete the program may depend on the number of credits or courses transferred from other institutions.

Full-time tuition per semester = $6,500

Full Tuition for the whole program (approximately) = $26,000
