RDIC team focus includes three inter-related activities- teaching, research and knowledge transfer. It was recognized to pave a way for research in the field of Science, Medicine and Engineering. The quality assessments conceded out by formal evaluators, (MGU methodology) is highly credible in competing for national and international research.

Programme Information:

Categories of Ph. D. candidates are as given below:

There shall be 3 categories of Ph.D. candidates as listed below:
a) Full -time
b) Part-time (Internal)
c) Part-time (External)

General Eligibility Criteria for Ph. D. Program

An applicant for admission to the degree of Ph.D. in any of the Faculties must have obtained the Master‘s degree with first class or at minimum 55% marks (CGPA 5.5 - 6 in a scale of 10) at Post-graduate examination and second division at the degree examination of the University or of another University acknowledged as corresponding thereto for General Category and 50% in UG and PG for SC / ST applicants.

Duration of the Ph.D Program

1. An applicant will be allowed to submit his Ph. D. Thesis only after 2 years from the date of registration as notified by the University for the full time Candidates.
2. An applicant will be allowed to submit his Ph. D. Thesis only after three years from the date of registration as notified by the University for the part time applicants.
3. This period may be condensed to eighteen months if the applicant has a M.Phil. degree from any University.

Entrance Examination

The University holds an Entrance Examination for all eligible applicants. However, the School/Centre/Institute/Unit concerned will glance into applications received for the Ph.D. and the School/Centre/Institute/Unit will decide about holding or not holding or giving effect to any other criteria (duly approved by the Vice Chancellor) for selecting Ph.D. candidates out of the applications they receive.

Final Examination System

Ph.D : By Thesis. Conclusion in minimum two years & maximum 5 years
