The Madhya Pradesh State Election Commission was constituted vide the warning dated February 1,1994 issued by the General Administration Department of the State Government. It appeared on Feburary 15, 1994 with the presumption of office by the primary State Election Commissioner.

According to article 243(C3) the Governor, when so asked for by the State Election Commission, make accessible to the State Election Commission such staff as might be fundamental for the release of the capacities presented on the SEC by condition (1).
