M.Sc (Nursing) – Courses: Child Health Nursing, Community Health Nursing, Medical Surgical Nursing, Mental Health Nursing, Obstetrics and Gynecology Nursing.

M.Sc Allied Medical Sciences Courses: Medical Biochemistry, MLT-Microbiology, MLT-Cyto Pathology, Medical Physiology.

Qualification Criteria for JIPMER MSc Courses

Qualification for MSc Nursing

Candidates more likely than not passed the capability of B.Sc Nursing level of this Institute or some other University acknowledged as equal thereof.

B.Sc nursing graduate must have one year of involvement in a doctor's facility or in a College or in a School of Nursing or in Community Health Program after enlistment in State Nursing Council.

Least of one year of work involvement earlier or after Post-fundamental B.Sc Nursing.

Candidate might be medically fit.

Candidates who have acquired Post Basic B.Sc Nursing (P.B.Sc Nursing) capability from Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) are NOT qualified for admission to M.Sc(N) course at JIPMER.

Qualification for M.Sc Courses (Allied Medical Sciences)

M.Sc Medical Biochemistry Course: Applicant more likely than not qualified in a 3year B.Sc Degree Examination of a perceived University with Biochemistry or Chemistry as principle subject with Biology/Botany/Zoology as auxiliary subject. (on the other hand)

Candidates with B.Sc Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology from a perceived University.

M.Sc MLT – Microbiology Course: Applicants more likely than not qualified in a 3years B.Sc Degree Examination of a perceived University with Microbiology/Biotechnology as fundamental subject with Biology/Botany/Zoology as subordinate subject. /B.Sc Zoology. (then again),

Candidates with B.Sc Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology from a perceived college.

M.Sc. MLT – Pathology Course: Applicants probably qualified in a 3 years B.Sc Degree Examination of a perceived University with Medical Lab Technology/Biotechnology as principle subject with Biology/Botany/Zoology as subordinate subject. /B.Sc Zoology.

M.Sc Medical Physiology Course: Applicants more likely than not qualified in B.Sc Nursing, B.Sc (3-years) in Physiology/Biotechnology as primary subject with Biology/Botany/Zoology as auxiliary subject/B.Sc Zoology.OrApplicants with B.Sc Degree in Medical Lab Technology from a perceived University.

M.Sc Medical Physics Course: Applicant who has passed the Degree Examination in B.Sc Physics with associated/Ancillary Mathematics and Chemistry or Triple Major with Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry of any perceived University.

M.Sc Biostatistics (Medical Biometrics) Course: Applicant who has passed the Degree Examination in B.Sc Degree in Statistics (Major) OR B.Sc Degree in Mathematical Science with Statistics as a subject from any perceived University or an examination of some other University acknowledged by the establishment as proportional thereto might be qualified for confirmation.
