MSEDCL has issued an open clarification with respect to control charge count following claims of overbilling. It has issued an official statement to all daily papers specifying the aggregate additional extra charge collected on purchasers.

Maharashtra Electricity Regulatory Commission (MERC) had collected five additional extra charges on shoppers which has strongly expanded the bills practically by 20%. Typically MSEDCL and MERC offer exposure to duty climbs, yet this was not done for this situation as they were extra charges to be exacted for a half year as it were.

There are four extra power charges - AEC1, AEC2, AEC3 and AEC4. What's more, there is an extra fuel alteration charge (FAC). Other than these additional charges, the customary FAC or fuel extra charge required each month remains.

Another significant issue is that the web charge, MERC request and MSEDCL round are in English, however the printed version of the bill is in Marathi. The terms are totally extraordinary and it is for all intents and purposes outlandish for a typical buyer to associate them.

Standard FAC is specified in the bill as indhan samajoyan akar. The five additional extra charges in addition to moving charges go under the head of atirikt akar. The sum not recuperated a month ago is said as samayojan. This will diminish in future bills.
