Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda (MSU Baroda) conduct PET entrance exam for admission in PHD program which equal to Set exam for PHD program .

Eligibility for PET examination

Applicants holding recognized Master’s degree or recognized equivalent to Master’s degree eligible to apply .

Applicants must secure 50% or equivalent grades in master degree course.

Exemption from test :

Applicants who have qualified in national/ state level competitive examination such as UGC-CSIR / NET / SET / GATE / GPAT / DBT / ICMR / JRF and also M.Phil degree holders exempted from appearing in PET examination.

Structure of the Test

Part-1- Written Test (Multiple choice questions)

There will be only one test paper Faculty-wise carrying weightage of 100 marks.

There shall be 50 Multiple choice questions; and each question carries Two marks.

There is no negative marking in the examination.

The medium of examination will be in English only.

The duration of the test shall be 3 hours.

The candidates who score 40% marks(40 out of 100 Marks) in Written Test , will be eligible for the Personal Interview.

Personal Interview:
Weightage of 25 marks
