The Library of the Acharya Nagarjuna University was set up on nineteenth August, 1976 by up degree of the past Andhra University P.G. Focus built up in the year 1967. The A.U.P.G Center Library accumulation of 18,900 records as on that date turned into the core for the Acharya Nagarjuna University Library. Later in 1990, the library was renamed as "AMBEDKAR MEMORIAL LIBRARY".

Library working hours:
Dr.B.R.A.M.Library Timings (8.00 AM to 8.00 PM) on all working days and 8.00 AM to 1.00 PM on first Saturdays and Sundays.

Building:
The Library has three stories and one Cellar. The aggregate plinth territory of the building is around 3,000 Square feet. The fundamental functionaries of the library are the Circulation, Periodicals, Reference, Acquisition, Binding and Technical Sections separated from the Administrative and Computers Section.

Course of action and Display of books and Journals:
In Dr. B. R. A. M. Library, books are shelved by Classification Scheme to mastermind them in a supportive succession to encourage simple area of books looked for by the clients. The library takes after open access framework. To help the client in areas the required books a wide range of straight and rack aides, heading and sign sheets are given in the library.

A sum of 2,600 Books and Non-Book materials were added to the Library Collection amid the period upto 31-3-2015.

A measure of Rs.51,57,549/ - was spent for getting 295 periodicals which incorporates Foreign and Indian Periodicals, Daily News papers and General magazines.
