I want to do LLB 5 years program, but I am confused between NALSAR and NUJS that which University is offers best law courses? Provide me fee structure for LLB 5 Years Program of both Universities? Any scholarships offer by NALSAR and NUJS to the Law Students? Give me adders of these?

I find both National Academy of Legal Studies and Research (NALSAR) and West Bengal National University of Juridical Sciences (WBNUJS or NUJS) are among the good Law Colleges.

Nalsar University of Law

NALSAR University of Law or National Academy of Legal Studies and Research (NALSAR) is a premier legal studies institution which was established in 1998 as a state university by an Act of the State Legislative Assembly (Act 34 of 1998) and has since then maintained its coveted position over and above all law schools in India.

Ranking

India Today ranked NALSAR as the best law school in India in the latest 2013 ranking. NALSAR was ranked first by Outlook in 2012.

NALSAR was previously ranked second in 2010 and 2011. India Today had previously ranked NALSAR as first in 2011 and 2008.

By popular estimates and rankings, NALSAR Hyderabad, and NLS Bangalore are together considered to be the most prestigious law schools in India.

The West Bengal National University of Juridical Sciences (WBNUJS or NUJS)

The West Bengal National University of Juridical Sciences (WBNUJS or NUJS) is an autonomous law university offering courses at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. It is considered one of the best amongst the elite national law schools in India built on the 5 years law degree model proposed and implemented by the Bar Council of India.

Ranking

LexisNexis Halsbury's Law Monthly rates it as a Tier One law school, jointly with the NALSAR University of Law, Hyderabad, and the National Law School of India University (NLSIU), Bangalore, and states that NUJS's "placement process is at par with the other two colleges in the top tier."

In 2009 Outlook magazine ranked it as the second best law school in India (behind NLSIU). In 2008, in a ranking conducted jointly by the Wall Street Journal and Mint newspaper, NUJS was rated as the third best law school in India with the best "pedagogic systems and process" amongst all law schools in India.

Overall, the survey awarded NUJS a score of 607 out of 800, while NLSIU and NALSAR achieved scores of 621 and 609 respectively. In 2010 Lawyers Update magazine ranked the faculty at NUJS as the best in India.

The news magazine India Today ranked it sixth in 2007, fifth in 2008 and eighth in 2009 and Careers360 has ranked NUJS 4th in 2016, below law schools that Halsbury's Law Monthly classifies as Tier Two and Tier Three institutions.
