Re: National Common Law Admission Test

CLAT entrance examination is conducted for admission to 18 of the coveted National Law Schools.

CLAT is a computer-based test and the questions are objective in nature. There are 200 questions in the test paper for LLB and 150 questions in the test paper for LLM courses.

The eligibility to appear in CLAT is 10+2 for LLB programs, and LLB or equivalent degree for LLM programs.

Common Law Admission Test is a national level entrance exam.

It is commenced once in a year in the month of May. It is organized for granting admission in Integrated L.L.B and L.L.M courses

The following national law universities (NLUs) consider CLAT scores for admissions to their under graduate program:

WBNUJS - Kolkata
NLU - Jodhpur
HNLU - Raipur
GNLU - Gandhinagar

NLUO - Cuttack
NUSRL - Ranchi
NLUJAA - Guwahati
DSNLU - Visakhapatnam
TNNLS -Tiruchirappalli
MNLU - Mumbai
MNLU- Nagpur

Online application Start Date 1st January 2017
Last date for submission of filled-in online application form 31st March 2017
Availability of Admit Card 20th April 2017
Date of Entrance Exam 14th May 2017 (3:00 PM to 5:00 PM)
Uploading of Answer Key 16th May 2017
Representation, if any, relating to exam, questions or key 17th – 19th May 2017
Date for uploading the amended answer key (if required) 25th May 2017
Result & merit list release 29th May 2017
Release of first indicative seat allocation list 5th June 2017
Counselling fee payment & exercising options 6th – 8th June 2017
Release of second allotment list 12th June 2017
Counselling fee payment & exercising options 13th – 14th June 2017
Release of third allotment list 19th June 2017
Counselling fee payment & exercising options 20th – 21st June 2017
Last Date for withdrawal from the Admission Process

Release of fourth allotment list

Payment of full fees by 4th seat allotment candidates & completion of admission formalities

Receiving status of admissions from the participating NLU (s) in the CLAT office

Closer of admission process 6th July 2017
