National Institute of Homoeopathy (NIH) is an autonomous organization under the Department of Ayurveda, Yoga & Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homoeopathy (AYUSH). It is affiliated to the West Bengal University of Health Sciences. About MD course: The Institute has Post Graduate Degree Course in Homoeopathy i.e Doctor of Medicine in Homoeopathy M.D.(Hom.), which is a full-time regular & residential course, now under the West Bengal University of Health Sciences and permitted by the Central Council of Homoeopathy. It has six subjects of Specialisation viz 1. Organon of Medicine with Homoeopathic Philosophy 2. Repertory 3. Homoeopathic Materia Medica including Applied aspects. 4. Practice of Medicne 5.
